Do you have a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom castings?
For heavy and large-scale steel castings (above 1 ton per piece), our MOQ is 1 piece. We understand that critical industrial components like slag ladles, mill housings, or girth gears are highly customized and often ordered as single units or in small batches.
How do you handle pattern-making costs for new customized parts?
Wood or metal pattern costs are quoted transparently as a one-time upfront fee. For long-term partnerships or contracts meeting specific annual volume thresholds, we offer pattern cost amortization or full rebates on subsequent production runs. All patterns are properly maintained in our climate-controlled warehouse for future orders.
How do you pack and secure heavy castings (up to 50–100+ tons) for safe international ocean freight?
Logistics for heavy cargo require specialized engineering. We design custom steel skids, heavy-duty wooden blocking, and utilize anti-rust coatings/vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI bags) to protect machined surfaces from sea salt corrosion. All components are securely lashed inside open-top containers, flat racks, or loaded via Break-Bulk (BB) vessels with strict adherence to international maritime safety guidelines.
